~~Getting Ready For The Open House~~

Good morning everyone!! I will be shutting down our Picture Trail for a couple of days to get it ready for our On-Line Open House!! I will re-open it on Thursday evening, so if you are up late, or early on Friday, you will be able to get on it. We will be having drawings for people who purchase finished items, one for pattern purchases, and one for everyone who stops by & leaves a comment!! Simple Goods Show & New Update

Good morning everyone!! Just wanted to quick say that I had such a great time at the Simple Goods Show this past week end!! It was such an awesome show!! I got to meet more of my customers, and some of the vendors, which is always so much fun!! There were so many awesome things to look at, and sales were really good, too. Now I am in the mood to decorate for Christmas!! Is it too early for that?? I'm putting up one picture of our booth, and hope to get some added to our Picture Trail real soon. New Picture Trail Update

Good morning everyone!! Well, the show this past week end was WONDERFUL!! There were so many great things to see & buy!! I got to meet so many people that I have been talking to online which was so great! My friend Lori from Michigan (Homespun Prims By Lori) surprised me and came to the show, Angie from Love The Prim Look came and I got to meet her for the first time, and my biggest surprise was that I got to meet the QUEEN!! That's right, Sherry (From Sherry's Heart) surprised me as well!! What a treat to finally meet in person!! There were others as well, but I just don't have time to list them all right now. I will write more about it and post a couple of pics. that I got later. Right now, I have to get back to our new house and get some more painting and cleaning done. We are moving in by the end of the week end, and there is so much work to be done. I did manage to do an update on our picture trail, and if you are interested in anything, I will answer e-mails just as soon as I can. New Patterns & Update

Hello everyone~~ After many computer problems, I have finally been able to get a few new things listed on Lemon Poppy Seeds, and have 2 new patterns available on Pattern Mart & my Picture Trail. The links are all on the left side of this page. So, if you have a minute & want to see what's new, just stop over on those sites!! The new patterns are Olde Horsie & Prancer, and they are both available in e-patterns & mailed paper ones. Well, it is only a little over a week to our first show, and I am busy as can be!! I am hving a hard time getting all the things finished that I wanted to, but think I will have a pretty good variety of items. I hope to see some of you there!! Also, if I am a little scarce on the computer, it is because we are moving into a new house right after the show!! I KNOW~~~nothing like stretching my self thin!! (I wish that really worked!!) A Few More Dolls

**New Christmas Pattern Pack**

Well, here it is Friday already!! Where did this week go?? I guess time flies when you're having fun, and I have been having lots of fun making things for my shows, and I finally have a pattern pack ready. I've been wanting to make some up for some time now. I put together 4 new little ornamnets for Christmas all in one pattern. For now they are only being offered in mailed paper form, though. There is a pattern for a little angel, santa, snowman in a mitten & a cat in a boot. You can view them in my New Pattern section on my Picture Trail. You can also find it on Pattern Mart. I hope you like them!! I also wanted to have a small update for my site but I'm not sure if I will have any dolls ready, BUT Derek has a few more wood pieces that I will be adding tonight. ~~TGIF~~

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am so thankful that it's Friday!! We are having a party tomorrow for our youngest daughter's (Grace) Birthday, so I have been cleaning all day! The weather is supposed to be in the high 80's so we will be able to be outside and have a lot of fun. We are making Gracie's favorite...chicken on the grill. We'll have lots of other goodies to eat too, and of course a nice big cake!! :-)

We had a blast at the Fair last night, but I have to say, my body can't handle those rides like it used too, even though they didn't have any really big ones. The scrambler (or whatever they call it now-a-days) really did scramble me, and then as if I hadn't had enough, I went on the zero gravity with Grace and my head was spinning all night long. I loved the Hang Glider & the Umbrella ride. Well, except when I thought they were going to let us off at the bottom, but the proceeded to make us slowly go all the way around until we were the last off. Hillary laughed so hard when we were sitting on the tippy top....(I was almost hyper ventilating) I'm okay if it's moving, just don't stop me at the top, let alone make me inch my way up to the place I fear the most. But, like I said it was alot of fun...I'd do it again with the girls in a heart beat. By the way....Derek (aka the big chicken) stuffed himself full of gyros so he had an excuse not to go on any rides. He did keep my purse by his feet though. :-) Well, I'd better get going. Well, I started a page for T.F.C. Folk Art on Facebook. Not exactly sure what I'm doing yet, but I've had a lot of requests to join my personal one, so I started a business one. I'd like to try to keep them seperate. I hope that doesn't sound weird, but it would be too confusing for me to keep up with family, friends and business all in one place. Hello Everyone!! Well, we are not quite done with our vacation time....still have the week end!! Tomorrow we are going canoeing down the river with friends, which should be really fun!! ~I Haven't Forgotten~

HI everyone!! I was so excited to update my Picture Trail last week, and then go down to TN., that I forgot all about updating my LPS shoppe!! Happy Friday Everyone!! I just got done mowing most of my yard....the dog pen still needs to be done. :-{ I think I'll let the kids take care of that. After I get cleaned up I am going to get out the sketch pad and start on my new Fall & Christmas items. I have lots of ideas swirling around in my head. It's my Birthday tomorrow, so I think I am going to take the week end off!! Well, except for drawing out some things. I decided to put the wholesaling on hold for the summer~~just not enough time in the days to get everything done, and I want to spend more time with the kids, and maybe even lounge at the pool once in awhile. ~~Last 3 Days Of Sale~~

~~LPS is Updated~~

Okay, so I was going to update LPS last night, but I fell asleep watching tv! So, I got up bright & early, got Derek off to work and got everything finished. It is now all updated. For some reason I thought today was May 1st, and was pleasantly surprised that it is only April 30th!! I actually got it updated EARLY!! So now I am back to finishing up my orders so I can get them shipped out. Have a great day everyone!! OH..... Boy~~I have had problems getting on my blog all week!! Thought maybe I had lost my page!! But here it is again....probably aol....it has been giving me problems for a year now, but it is all I know, so I am afraid to change everything over to something else. Sure would take care a lot of my headaches if I switched internet services, though. I've just been busy working on orders, and trying to get a little yard work done around here. I will work more on orders & things for my shows this morning after I get the kids off to school, then I will be back outside for a while enjoying the 80 degree temps we are supposed to have today!! Derek has to go to Indiana for work today, and won't be home until around 8 or 9 tonight, so I'm hoping to get lots done before he gets home. Tomorrow is Prom, so it will be another busy day. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!! We had gorgeous weather here, and did a cook out. None of the kids like ham, so we decided to get the grill fired up. Of course I ate too much!! We had a really good day.

I wanted to let you all know that I just finished 8 new dollies, and am working on 4 new patterns to release soon. I'm not sure if I will be putting them on LPS or on my Picture Trail yet. I guess it depends on how much I can get done. I have a few other things I wanted to get done before starting on some more orders. We'll see how it goes. My Plants Are Shooting Up!

I can't wait to get these outside!! I can't believe how just a few days can make such a difference. It's time to get some potting soil and get some of these in bigger pots! This has been such a fun project to do with the girls. They check on them first thing every morning. I wonder if it will be so exciting when it comes time to pull the weeds?? For some reason, I think I may be alone in that part of the project. :-) That's okay, I need to get out of the house and outside more often, and most of them will be in large pots, so that should save on my back and knees. ~Flea Market Finds~

We went to the local Flea Market and a garage sale this week end, & I thought I'd share a few things that I found. It is really dark & gloomy here today, so the pictures didn't turn out the best, but here is an idea.... I got a couple of flags, 8 feed sacks to make more dolls with, and a box full of old tin cups. I have a plan for the cups, but you will just have to wait until my upcoming shows to find out just what that is. :-) I also found several old crocks. They are just plain & simple, but I love them!! Now, I have to find the perfect spot for them. I think it may be time for Derek to make me a bucket bench, since we had to get rid of the ones I had when we moved. New Update Is Finally Ready!!

I finally got my Lemon Poppy Shop updated!! I'm a couple of days late but it's finished!! It seems I'm running late alot lately, but I always seem to have a lot going on all time. Next week is the kids Spring Break, so maybe I can get a little more help with things around the house and get ahead of the game for a change. Or, more likely...I'll be running around with them more than usual. I have to take my daughter Courtney to look for her dress for her Junior Prom, so that should be fun. It's been a long time since I've been able to shop for one of them. Cassie went to several, but she's 22 now, so it's been a few years. I don't even want to say how long it's been since MINE!! Update Coming Soon

I just wanted to let you know that I am hoping to update my LPS shop on Friday. I need a little more time to finish up a couple more things. I've been in the "Americana" mood, so look for mostly red, white & blue!! I will have to throw in a little mustard & brown too, since a lot of people seem to still love them as well.

Along with working on orders, updates and things to put away for my shows this Fall, the girls & I planted a few seeds to plant in pots and we plan to have a small garden. Here is what we have so far....the girls are so excited every day to see how the plants are sprouting up. It's amazing how they change so much in just a few hours!! We planted mostly things that I can use in my art... okra, corn, herbs & such. We are having lots of fun with this, since we haven't planted anything in a few years. As soon as it gets warm enough, we will be making some flower beds, too. I do not have a green thumb, and know next to nothing about flowers & plants, so this should be fun. We have lots of shade in the back, so if any of you have suggestions as to what flowers work best in shade, please let me know!! Blessings until next time~~Jackie

Friends Gathering in PA.

Good morning everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that Karen of "My Colonial Home" is having a gathering of friends in PA. You can find all of the information by going to her blog. It sounds like it will be a great time. I wish I had the time to attend, but with my shows coming up this Fall, I'll be spending all of my time preparing for them. ~Getting Back on Track~

We had so much fun this past week end!! Our friends from Tn. left around noon on Monday. We hated to see them leave. The plan was to get back to sewing on Tuesday, but on Sun. night, my 12 year old started not feeling good, and by Monday, we had sick kids. :( Of course our youngest had to pick up the bug as well. Grace (the youngest) was able to go back to school yesterday, but poor Hillary was still just to weak to go back. We are hoping today she will be well enough. So, hopefully today I will be able to get back at some orders that I need to get finished, and I will have enough time to get some things listed on LPS for the first. I'll let you know my progress as it gets closer. We are having such rainy, dreary days here right now, so it will be easier to stay inside and get some work done. I really need to get out in the flower beds again, so I'd better get lots done....there are all kinds of things popping up around here, and I have no idea what they are, being that it is our first Spring here. It'll be exciting to see what comes up, and hard to keep the girls from picking everything!! You know how little girls and flowers are! ;) Well, time to get them up for school and start my busy day. Well, tomorrow afternoon our friends from TN. will be arriving!! We are all so excited to see them again. They will only be staying until Sunday, but at least they are coming! I wish they could stay for a week. We will be having an old fashioned cook out tomorrow night, and just spending the night catching up. On Sat., it is all Mexican food....I can almost taste it already.....tacos, fajitas, freshly made salsa & guacamole.... I absolutely love Mexican food. We will be having my sister & her husband and some of our friends from here over, so everyone can meet each other. We will have a house full for sure with at least 12 or more kids and probably just as many adults!! I may need next week to rest up!! Well, I am going to go get into my jammies and get to bed early tonight, and hopefully get a good nights sleep. I have a busy week end ahead of me. ~~New Update Is Ready~~

~~New Items Are Coming Soon~~

I am busy working on some new items for an update on Sunday (the 15th). I think I will just do a Picture Trail update, since it's been awhile now since I've had one. I'm not sure exactly when Sunday, but I will post here when it is ready. Yesterday I almost got 4 of my new little dolls finished, and I must say I think they are pretty cute! My fingers sure hurt from stitching those little faces though, and I have 2 more to go. I recently bought about 25 yards of fabric, and had to try some of them out, and I love them!! Some are a little different than my normal, but they turned out so nice after being put through the "process". I hope you all like them as much as I do. Well, it's time for me to see Derek off to work, then get the girls up and ready for school so I can start my work day. I have so much to do before Sunday!! Next week I will be taking off so that I can get Spring cleaning done, and go shopping for our out-of-state friends that are coming to visit us. I can't wait to see them!! ~~4 New Patterns Finished~~

I was finally able to get a couple of patterns that I've had requests for finished!! I only have them listed on Pattern Mart right now, but hope to get them on my Picture Trail & Ebay soon. OOPPSS!!! Running a Little Behind!!

Okay, so I was supposed to do some updating & yesterday Derek & I decided to go antiquing & go out for lunch. The plan was that I would go have some fun, and then work all afternoon & get things updated last night. Well, then some of our friends decided to go bowling, so we decided that would be fun!! We had to wait almost 2 hours for lanes to open up, and then we bowled a couple of games. The kids had a blast & so did we. :) Well, by the time we got home, there was no way I was going to get anything finished, so here I am this morning, scrambling to get a few things done to list on Lemon Poppy Seeds. I WILL have an update early this afternoon for LPS, but will not be able to have my Picture Trail update like I had wanted. I guess I will shoot for next Sunday with that one!! So, if you would like to check back later this afternoon, I will have 5 dolls & one new Rabbit updated for you to look at. ~Busy Working~

Well, I've been busy working on some new things. I have so many things swirling around in my head....it's hard to get them all out! I am starting to work on some things to start tucking away for my shows in the Fall too, so I am working on all 4 Seasons at one time!! Talk about trying to keep focused!! ~Getting Back On Track~

After being sick for awhile now, I am finally feeling much better!! I didn't pick up a single thing to work on in the last week, which is so unusual for me. Whatever it was that I had, it really wiped me out. I still have a cough, but everything else is pretty much gone, so it's back to work as usual today. I will definitely have a couple of things listed on LPS on the 15th, and hope to have a PT update soon, but not until I get my last shop order done & out the door. Now I know everyone usually takes pictures, but I am coming down with the same "junk" the girls have had this past week. Actually, I wasn't feeling well all of last week end, and missed the Super Bowl, and now since this afternoon I am getting that achy feeling again, and am going to crawl in my nice warm bed and hope to wake up feeling better tomorrow. Okay, I've been wanting to do a give away for awhile now, but never seem to find the time to make anything extra for it. ~Running a Little Behind~

Okay, so I was doing so good last week, but this is a whole new week!! We have been getting such bad weather here!! First we had the freezing rain, and now it's the snow. It's certainly nothing like we are used to coming from WI., but we did get spoiled living in Tn. for a year!! The kids have had several school delays and early dismissals, which is totally throwing me off!! I have my little routines, and this week, they are all messed up! Oh, well, that's what happens in life. So, after saying all of that, I have not been able to finish my LPS update today, but will have a few new things in a couple of days. Today is Derek's birthday, so I have plans that do not include baking dolls in the oven!! I will let you know when I get my updates finished. Until then, take care & stay warm!! Blessings~Jackie

~~I'm on a Roll~~

Well, Hillary's birthday party is all over! Despite the fact that we had awful freezing rain, everyone but one made it to the party. We had fun here for awhile & then we were off to the bowling alley until the parents picked up the girls. We had a great time. Afterwards, I could only watch Derek & the Grace play so many games on the x box 360, so I decided it was a good time to get a couple more patterns finished. Well, after having MORE computer issues this morning :( I somehow mananged to get some new patterns finished and listed on Pattern Mart. I'll be adding them to my Picture Trail real soon, too. Picture Trail Updated

Well, after a whole bunch of computer problems, I finally managed to get a few new things updated on my Picture Trail!! I am happy to have it finished!! I'll try to keep working on more items, and getting some of the new things into patterns soon. My daughter Hillary turns 12 on Sunday, so I have another busy week end ahead! Good morning~~ I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be updating some new dolls tomorrow night on my Picture Trail. My sweet Grandma went to be with the Lord last Fri., so I haven't gotten as much done as I had wanted to, but I will have some new things for you to look at sometime tomorrow night.
